Diane Cannon

Diane Cannon (Ming-Mei) began her meditation and martial arts training in 1986 with Alan Tillotson. In 1987 she met Sifu Ray Hayward and was accepted as a student of his in 1989.

She is a personal disciple of Sifu Ray Hayward of Twin Cities T'ai Chi Ch'uan Studio making her the 7th generation in the Yang Style Lineage. From Sifu Ray Hayward she learned the complete Yang-style T'ai Chi Ch'uan system as well as Pa-Kua, Hsing-Yi, Praying Mantis and Liu Ho Pa Fa.

Diane began teaching in 1990 under the direction of her teacher Ray Hayward, and currently teaches at Ming Tao T'ai Chi Ch'uan Studio in Newark, DE. She has reached many students in New Castle County, Dover and surrounding states.

Diane ensures that the traditions of the Ancient Art of T'ai Chi Ch'uan are carried on. The teaching methods focus on the importance of the mechanics of the forms, relaxation of the mind and body, and the principles of the T'ai Chi Classics. She is dedicated to teaching the traditional art as a way to gain balance, confidence, peace of mind and body, and enhance one's state of health.
